Mig WelderAs a Mig Welder, you will perform MIG welding on structural steel products, such as concrete bracings, anchors, embeds, and support assemblies. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions. Additionally, you will prepare materials for welding using grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment, inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional specifications, and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.Prepare materials for welding using grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment.Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional specifications.Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain productivity while meeting quality standards and production schedules.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering personnel to resolve fabrication issues.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or structural steel environment.Experience reading blueprints and fabrication drawings.Knowledge of welding processes, weld symbols, and measuring tools.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.High school diploma or GED preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience welding structural steel components.AWS certification or equivalent welding credentials.Forklift and overhead crane experience.Familiarity with concrete construction accessories and embedded steel products.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic and supportive work environment where collaboration and innovation are encouraged. The facility uses a point system for attendance, where tardiness, incomplete shifts, and absences are monitored. Points accumulated within a rolling 12-month period can lead to warnings, suspensions, or termination.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
