Lead Phlebotomist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Phlebotomist to oversee daily blood collection operations and provide leadership, training, and mentorship to our frontline phlebotomy team.

In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the successful candidate will perform day-to-day duties within the Phlebotomy and Accessioning Departments, including but not limited to:

• Collecting blood specimens from inpatient and outpatient populations
• Performing data entry and maintaining accurate patient records
• Receiving, handling, and accessioning specimens
• Centrifuging and processing specimens according to established procedures
• Supporting other laboratory functions as needed
• Assisting with staff training, competency assessments, and ongoing development

The candidate must be flexible and available to work morning inpatient phlebotomy shifts, outpatient phlebotomy, weekends, and holidays, based on departmental needs.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent patient care skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining quality and compliance standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

A high school diploma and phlebotomy certificate or license and four years of relevant patient blood drawing experience including pediatric sticks.
