WMS Consultant
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Management System (WMS) Implementation Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WMS solutions, including system configuration, customization, and integration with existing warehouse operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end implementation process and ensuring a seamless transition to the new WMS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and customization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) based on client requirements.
- Analyze warehouse operations and design workflows to optimize efficiency using WMS.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, warehouse operations, and external vendors to ensure smooth system integration.
- Provide hands-on configuration, data migration, and testing of WMS software.
- Conduct user training and develop support documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements throughout the implementation process.
- Support post-implementation optimization and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their evolving needs and recommend improvements to the WMS.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in implementing WMS solutions (e.g., Manhattan Associates, SAP EWM, Blue Yonder, Oracle WMS Cloud, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices in inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Experience with system integration of WMS with ERP, TMS, or other supply chain systems.
- Familiarity with WMS configuration, including workflows, automation tools, and reporting functionalities.
- Solid understanding of data migration and system testing procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to lead training sessions and create detailed documentation for end-users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based WMS solutions.
- Previous experience in warehouse process improvement or lean warehouse initiatives.
- Knowledge of EDI integration for shipment and inventory tracking.
- Certification in any major WMS software (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Oracle).
