• Shift: 12-Hour Mids/Eves (Flexible schedule: 3 or 4 days/week)
• Hours/Week: 36-48 hours
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract RN
• Licensure/Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI or MOAB, NIHSS (must have these upon start)
• Experience: 1+ year ED RN experience required; first-time travelers must have 2+ years of perm staff RN experience in acute care

What You'll Do:

• Provide quality emergency care to patients of all ages, including newborns through geriatrics
• Manage a variety of cases: respiratory distress, stroke, cardiac issues, trauma, mental health, and more
• Support patient stabilization and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform basic nursing procedures
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse Electronic Medical Records
• Assist in patient assessments, treatments, and monitoring during high-acuity situations
• Collaborate with charge nurses, RT, hospitalists, and emergency staff to ensure seamless care

What You Need:

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI or MOAB, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year ER or emergency department experience
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong critical thinking, IV skills, medication administration, and self-motivation

• Experience with Meditech EMR, Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication system
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including trauma and stroke cases
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules
