Kimco is recruiting for a Utility Assembler for our client in Ontario

 

Monday-Friday Position
7:30am-4pm
Pay Rate: $16.90

Summary: 
The basic function of the General Utility/Assembly worker is to perform all tasks, that focus on preparing packages for shipment from the manufacturing side of the business and pulling inventory for orders in the distribution side of the business. This position assists in the completion of processing production orders and working closely with the Machine Operators to fulfill the job requirements as stated on the work instructions.   He/she needs to be capable and qualified to perform the function in a safe and proficient manner under the supervision of the Production Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

•    Material Preparation per (MOP) including but not limited to the following: 

• Cleaning
• Sorting
• Counting
• Labeling/Tagging
• Packaging/Boxing 

•    Assembling of parts/pieces
•    Fulfilling the re-rolling/re-working of material 
•    Obtaining Final Inspection on material ready for Shipping
•    Forward completed jobs to Shipping Department 
•    Responsible for keeping work area clean at all times
•    Return material to stock or designated area in a timely matter to be properly return to stock.
•    Report and verify raw material and labor is reported on J/T is accurate and in the ERP system.
•    Always remain compliant with the company safety policies and AS9100 Rev D requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

•    Proficient in English (ability to read & write) 
•    Basic Computer Skills/Data Entry required. 
•    Ability to perform basic mathematics including conversions 
•    Knowledgeable using Measuring Tools such as Calipers & Tape Measures 
•    Competent to work independently  
•    Communicate effectively, and problem solve spontaneously
•    Willing to learn and always be a Team Player. 
•    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
•    High School/GED required 
•    Overtime is possible with little to no advanced notice.
