Established in 2007 and headquartered in Scott City, Missouri, we operate a dry corn mill that produces a range of products serving the Food & Beverage, Pet, and Animal Nutrition sectors. I. Position Purpose The Production Planner is responsible for developing the Sales & Operations production plan to deliver our customer orders on time and in full. They work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure that this is accomplished. The Production Planner will use sales orders, customer forecast, plant production rates, and inventory to optimize the production plan to confirm and meet committed delivery dates while minimizing production changeovers. They work closely with Logistics to ensure empty trucks, railcars, and packaging is available when needed. The Production Planner will collect daily production run sheets and reconcile them to both the given daily production plan and check finished product inventories. They will work as a backup to the Customer Service Manager and Trade Serving Coordinator on tasks as directed. II. Position Responsibilities and Duties Develop daily, weekly, and 3-week rolling production plan based on customer sales orders, production, and inventories. Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to collect information on any changes in real-time and adjust production plan as necessary while minimizing customer impact. Collect daily production run sheets and reconcile to production plan, inventory, and ensure accounting accuracy. Keep KPI metrics regarding the production planning and order delivery functions. Assist in developing sales forecasts and budgets. Provide backup support for the Customer Service Manager and Trade Servicing Coordinator as necessary. Oversee and update wash tickets for truck trailers. Keep track and update previous load summaries for truck trailers. Create, update, and correct Bill of Ladings for packaged and bulk products. Maintain digital record of handwritten packaging reports and shift logs. III. Experience / Education / Competencies Necessary for Success High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two (2) years in supply planning, demand planning, and / or supply chain is preferred. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Previous ERP experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and high level of professionalism. Proficiency with sales and production planning processes preferred. Team player that works collaboratively with both customers and internal stakeholders. The ability to engage and build relationships across multiple departments within an organization and at all levels. Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment with ambiguity. Data entry with a high-level of accuracy. Attention to detail. IV. Location Scott City, Missouri onsite at Mill location. V. Physical and Mental Requirements This position is in an office environment, but requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness, and stamina for the length of an entire 8+ hour work shift each day. Occasional light lifting, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. The position will require some physical activity outside of an office environment as needed.
