Responsibilities Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions. Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes. Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors. Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined & other potentially troublesome areas. Plan work procedures using charts, technical manuals & experience. Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services. Repair manual & automatic transmissions. Replace & adjust headlights. Comply with all safety, DOT & OSHA guidelines. Adhere to company rules & regulations. Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas. Benefits Uniforms & safety shoe program. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience. Must have own hand tools. Basic computer skills. CDL license preferred.
