Canyon Ridge High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our girls' softball program as the Head Softball Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in softball, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive team environment. This seasonal position offers an opportunity to mentor young athletes, develop their skills, and promote teamwork and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that enhances players' skills and understanding of the game.
• Organize and conduct daily practices, ensuring effective use of time and resources.
• Plan and oversee the team's competition schedule, including games, tournaments, and travel arrangements.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Evaluate and assess players' performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding team progress and expectations.
• Collaborate with assistant coaches and support staff to ensure a cohesive coaching approach.
• Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
• Promote the softball program within the school and community to encourage participation and support.
• Maintain compliance with all school, district, and state athletic regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
• Strong knowledge of softball techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to reach their full potential.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the season.
• A passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field.
