Your Role: As an After School Dance Teacher, you'll lead engaging dance classes for students in grades K-5 at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. You'll create a fun and supportive environment where kids can learn, express themselves, and thrive. Key Responsibilities: Class Management: Energize and manage classes of 8-16 enthusiastic students aged 5-10. Teach various forms of dance tailored to elementary school children. Training & Preparation: Attend a maximum of two-day unpaid training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with our program. Transport and set up any necessary equipment for each class. Administrative Tasks: Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures. Communicate effectively with parents and school staff as needed. Provide constructive feedback on each student's progress. Capture the Fun: Document the joy of dance by capturing photos of kids in action during sessions! What We're Looking For: Must be at least 19 years old. At least a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous teaching or performing experience in dance is preferred but not required. A genuine enjoyment of working with children and effective classroom management skills. Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach are essential. Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude. Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula. Locations & Schedule: Classes are held at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Classes run for 1 - 1.5 hours, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work two or more days per week with a maximum of 2-5 hours weekly. Candidates must be local to the US or possess a valid working visa, as we do not provide visa assistance.
