As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Risk Mitigation in San Francisco, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.05 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, riders, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation facilities and surrounding government locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit properties, stations, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate emergency personnel when needed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and assist with directing visitors and members of the public in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate written reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
