Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift
Location: Augusta, GA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Night shift (7:00PM – 7:00AM) including some weekends.
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This position involves the management of respiratory therapy equipment and treatment modalities, including the administration of oxygen, inhalation therapy, and ventilator management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and needs.
- Administer respiratory treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Manage and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
- Assist with intubation and tracheostomy care when necessary.
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Experience with ventilators, CPAPs, and other respiratory equipment.
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Advanced certification in respiratory therapy preferred.
