Food Service Associate

Title: Food Service Associate - Part-Time

Pay: $17.50-$18.50/hour
Location: Sunrise, FL 33325
Hours: Part-Time, 20-34 hours/week | Flexible shifts between approximately 10:30 AM-9:00 PM | Weekend availability required
Work varying shifts with start times generally between 10:30 AM-1:00 PM and end times between approximately 5:00 PM-8:30 PM , with availability through 9:00 PM as needed.

Overview

We are seeking a Food Service Associate to support restaurant and food service operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This position may work on the serving line or in the dish room , depending on operational needs. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and an active Food Handler Certification at the time of application .

Required Skills

• Valid, active Food Handler Certification - required
• Flexible availability for varying part-time shifts
• Must be available to work weekends
• Ability to work evenings and holidays as scheduled
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices
• Ability to perform serving-line and/or dish room responsibilities

Job Description

• Prepare and present hot and cold food items according to established standards.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service in restaurant and bistro areas.
• Work on the serving line or in the dish room based on daily operational needs.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness requirements.
• Assist customers with questions regarding allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain clean, organized food preparation, serving, and dishwashing areas.
• Help minimize food waste and follow established sustainability practices.

Preferred Skills

• 1+ year of food service, restaurant, cafeteria, or similar experience
• Previous experience working on a serving line or in a commercial dish room
• Customer-facing food service experience
