Location

San Diego or Orange County, CA (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role with remote flexibility; however, frequent onsite customer engagement is expected. Regular in-person collaboration with customers, the AI Architect, and internal stakeholders is essential to ensure successful AI delivery and customer adoption.

Location Requirements

• Must be based in San Diego or Orange County
• Required to visit customers on-site
• Can be called into our San Diego office at managers discretion.

Position Summary

Reporting To: VP of Professional Services
Collaboration: AI Architect, Customer Stakeholders, Professional Services Team

Bird Rock Systems is helping organizations adopt practical AI solutions that create measurable business outcomes.

We're looking for an AI Implementation Specialist who enjoys working directly with customers, helping them prepare their data, implement AI solutions, and build confidence using AI in their daily operations.

This role is ideal for someone who is technically curious, customer-focused, and excited about building a career in applied AI. You'll work alongside our AI Architect, supporting customer implementations while developing the skills needed to grow into more advanced AI consulting and engineering roles.

You won't be expected to design AI strategy or architecture. Instead, you'll help turn proven AI solutions into successful customer outcomes through training, implementation support, data preparation, and adoption.

This role is based in San Diego or Orange County, California and supports customers through frequent engagement.

The 90-Day Win 

The first 90 days are focused on building customer relationships, supporting successful AI implementations, and becoming a trusted resource for both customers and the implementation team.

• Deliver introductory AI onboarding and training sessions for customers.
• Support customer implementations through data preparation, validation, and organization.
• Assist with deployment, testing, and configuration of AI solutions.
• Establish positive working relationships with customer stakeholders through training, support, and engagement.
• Contribute to reusable training materials, guides, and implementation playbooks.

What You’ll Do

Customer Training & Enablement

• Deliver introductory AI training sessions for customers
• Help end users understand and adopt AI-powered workflows
• Create and maintain training materials, guides, and documentation
• Answer customer questions and provide post-deployment support
• Facilitate customer workshops and onboarding sessions

Data Preparation & Quality

• Assist customers with organizing, cleaning, and validating business data
• Identify common data quality issues that may impact AI outcomes
• Work with customer teams to improve data readiness
• Support migration and preparation of information used in AI solutions
  

AI Solution Support

• Assist with deployment and configuration of AI solutions
• Help test workflows, automations, and AI-powered applications
• Document customer requirements and implementation details
• Support proof-of-concept projects and pilot deployments
• Escalate technical challenges to senior team members when necessary

Customer Success & Adoption

• Monitor customer engagement and adoption of AI solutions
• Gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement
• Serve as a trusted day-to-day resource during implementation
• Help ensure customers realize measurable value from AI investments
  

Team Collaboration

• Partner with the AI Architect and implementation team
• Contribute to reusable training materials and delivery playbooks
• Share lessons learned from customer engagements
• Help improve internal implementation processes as the AI practice grows

Preferred Experience

• 1–2 years in a technical, customer-facing, implementation, support, training, or consulting role
• Experience working with business applications, SaaS platforms, or technology solutions
• Exposure to AI tools, automation platforms, analytics, or business systems
• Familiarity with data cleanup, spreadsheets, reporting, or database concepts
• Experience creating documentation or conducting training sessions
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, or automation tools
• Exposure to APIs, integrations, or workflow automation

Compensation

Compensation Range: $85,000 – $95,000

The above represents the expected compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we’ll consider location, experience, and other job-related factors.
