Desktop Support Specialist | Chicago, IL A global organisation is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide dedicated, high-touch technical support to C-suite and senior leadership at a major enterprise client. This is a white glove concierge IT support role. The people you support are incredibly busy & their schedule relies on no technology problems - your job is to make sure they never have one. You are proactive, discreet, technically masterful, and completely unflappable under pressure. When something goes wrong in a boardroom fifteen minutes before an earnings call, you are the person who fixes it before anyone notices it was broken. If you have spent your career keeping executives productive, you already know what this role demands. If you have ever had to troubleshoot a critical AV failure while a CFO is waiting to present, you understand the composure this environment requires. What you will own End-to-end concierge technical support for C-suite and senior leadership covering hardware, software, mobile, and connectivity across macOS and Windows environments. Proactive health checks on executive devices, home office setups, and mobile platforms to identify and resolve issues before they are reported. Boardroom and event readiness covering AV systems, conferencing platforms, and connectivity for high-stakes meetings, board presentations, and earnings calls. Device lifecycle management covering procurement, imaging, configuration, and seamless deployment of premium hardware with zero disruption to the executive experience. Secure remote access support across VPN, corporate applications, and mobile device management platforms across iOS and Android. Discreet escalation management acting as the primary liaison between executive leadership and the broader IT organisation. Rigorous ticketing and documentation maintained behind the scenes without the executive ever feeling like they are interacting with a support process. Executive Desktop Support Specialist - What You Need IT experience with at least three years specifically supporting VIP or executive level clientele Deep technical expertise across macOS and Windows environments, mobile device management, enterprise AV equipment, and home networking and IoT security Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical senior leaders in plain language without condescension Proven professional discretion handling confidential information and sensitive environments with total integrity A steady hand under pressure - the ability to troubleshoot and resolve critical failures calmly while senior leadership is in the room Experience supporting high-stakes meetings, board presentations, or earnings calls from a technical readiness perspective What will set you apart Apple Certified Support Professional or Microsoft Role-Based Certification. Experience with enterprise conferencing platforms including Zoom Rooms, Webex Board, or Microsoft Teams Rooms. Background in high-growth technology environments, financial services, or large enterprise organisations. Experience managing executive device fleets across multiple platforms simultaneously. Track record of proactive issue identification and resolution before executives are impacted.
