H-E-B Store Department Lead

As an H-E-B Store Department Lead, you'll lead a well-stocked, well-maintained department, while providing superior customer service. You'll also perform supervisory responsibilities, such as scheduling work, and training / developing Partners. Key responsibilities include store lead operations / training, customer service / sales, and food safety. Additional department-specific responsibilities include bakery, beauty, deli, prepared foods, produce, and Texas backyard. Qualifications & Key Requirements:

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Expert knowledge of department production stations, including quality standards, set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment Ability to read and interpret documents (e.g., safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, production planners, procedure manuals) Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Partners Ability to apply common sense / understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Communication and interpersonal skills
• Education: Associate's degree (AA), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 6+ months of related experience and / or training, or combination of equivalent education / training
• Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Company Orientation, food safety and sanitation training, and eCommerce Online Ordering training
