Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler (Forklift Operator Required)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment

• Ability to become proficient in handling, storing, and moving materials safely and efficiently

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships

• Self-motivated and dependable, with a strong sense of responsibility

• Analytical thinker with a focus on accuracy and continual improvement

• Must be willing and able to work any shift, including off shifts and weekends

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials

• Accurately receive, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and products

• Support production by ensuring timely delivery of materials to appropriate departments

• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement

• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures related to material handling

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles

• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labeling

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments

• Identify and report any issues with materials, equipment, or safety concerns

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

• Cross-train in other areas of the warehouse or production floor as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and lift

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion

• Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment in varying temperatures and environments

• Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed
