Job Details Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job Specialty: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Start Date: 11/2/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940-$2,040 Orientation: 72 hours Charting System: Epic required Schedule Notes: Variable weekend coverage based on unit needs Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the MICU specialty Current MICU experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Epic charting required Strong critical care experience with vents and IV starts Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor-level reference Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults and older adults with complex medical and oncologic conditions Monitor and manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic instability, and multisystem organ dysfunction Administer and titrate IV medications, including vasoactive and cardiac drips Support advanced critical care procedures such as CRRT, arterial line management, central line care, and chest tube management Interpret dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases, and other critical data to guide patient care Maintain accurate computerized documentation in Epic electronic health records (EHR) Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality care Follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocols at all times If you’re an experienced MICU nurse looking for your next Columbus healthcare job or Ohio travel nursing assignment , apply now and take the next step in your critical care career.
