Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely
- Prepare bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
- Support AP and AR activities, including invoice processing, payments, and collections
- Assist with financial statement preparation and monthly reporting
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis as needed
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation to external auditors
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting schedules
- Assist with accounting projects and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Approximately 1 year of accounting experience
- Internship or public accounting experience is a plus
- Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with an ERP/accounting system
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
