2026-2027 Teacher Apprentice

Starting Date: Jul 22, 2026 Job Description Third Future Schools is a high‑achieving and growing network of charter schools. The network's school in Aurora, CO, Academy of Advanced Learning is looking for a Teacher Apprentice. Teacher Apprentices work with distinguished teachers to grow their craft and become classroom teachers. They teach students in collaboration with the teachers, familiarizing themselves with lessons and instructional materials to teach effectively. Once the school leadership team and the distinguished teacher determine the Apprentice is ready to provide direct instruction without any support, they will be elevated to the teacher position and receive the commensurate salary increase. Classroom teachers and apprentices receive great support. Lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments and activities are provided by expert curriculum developers. Teacher assistants (called Learning Coaches) make copies and grade papers for the teachers. Teachers and apprentices also have minimal duties and only four days a month. The maximum salary for a Teacher Apprentice with three years of demonstrated achievement is $64,000. Candidate must have a bachelors degree.
