How you'll make an impact in this role

• Protect: the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by proactively identifying threats and responding to security incidents with a calm, decisive presence.
• Lead: complex investigations and exercise legal authority, including making arrests when necessary, to ensure the hospital remains a safe, law-abiding environment for care.
• Collaborate: with external law enforcement agencies and internal clinical teams to coordinate emergency responses and provide expert testimony that supports justice and safety.
• Empower: the hospital community by facilitating safety training and education, ensuring every staff member feels prepared and supported in emergency situations.
• Manage: critical mobile resources by operating and maintaining patrol vehicles safely, ensuring a rapid and reliable response across the entire campus.

What minimum requirements you'll need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required:
• Certification specializing in Peace Officer obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Law Enforcement obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• ILEA Academy Certification is required.
• Highest level of professionalism, ethics, standards, and judgement preferred.
