PROGRAM ANALYST

Job Title

This position involves supporting the strategic planning and execution of information assurance and cyber-security for US Navy Aircraft Carriers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting the strategic planning and execution of information assurance and cyber-security for US Navy Aircraft Carriers.
• Managing Aircraft Carrier machinery control systems, ship steering, machinery embedded and ship control functional areas for information assurance and cyber-security.
• Executing contracts and warfare center tasking and providing programmatic advice for the support of integrated security systems and solutions to manage related risks.
• Providing technical advice and performing analysis on paths forward concerning cyber-security as it pertains to control and monitoring systems, and supporting program to meet DoW/DON/DPAE Maritime priorities.
• Supporting the establishment of system and component design requirements including risk management plans, budget plans and execution strategies.
• Supporting program leadership in planning efforts and management of requisite RDT and E efforts for technology advancements.
• Introducing and implementing innovative approaches by enabling leading-edge computer security technology development, testing, and integration to establish precedents that enhance the security posture of naval warfare and ship systems.
• Leading and guiding multidisciplinary teams in formulating and executing plans to develop creative solutions for complex engineering problems.
• Anticipating problems by identifying technology and performance gaps to be addressed by S and T, as well as RDT and E efforts.
• Using initiative, originality, and foresight to develop and integrate solutions to diverse, highly complex problems, establishing precedents and guiding actions on matters of major significance.
• Promoting a cooperative teamwork environment to implement innovative solutions while balancing stakeholder interests.
• Supporting CVN machinery, steering and ship control systems cybersecurity; coordinating with SDMs, TWHs, and ISEAs to develop integrated security and physical control solutions protecting critical systems per DoW, DON, and PAE Maritime Policy.
• Liaising with Navy, DoW, federal and industry cyber/IA authorities to ensure consistent policies for ships warfare, combat, mission packages, embarked, unmanned, machinery/ship control, embedded systems, and other/control networks.
• Working within relevant Federal, DoD and DON risk management, testing and Certification and Accreditation policies and processes {e.g. RMF, DoDI 8510.01, NIST SPS00-37, NIST SP800-82, etc.), and DOD 5000.02 Defense Acquisition System.
