About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Postpartum – Texas

Start Date: October 14, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract, night shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 weekends per schedule period

• Dedicated postpartum unit with 40 beds focused exclusively on maternal care
• Manageable patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 patients
• Exposure to antepartum patients; separate nursery unit for neonatal care
• Electronic medical records: CPN and Meditech systems
• Experienced, tenured night shift team with nurses averaging 20+ years of service
• 13-week contract assignment with potential for permanent placement

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
• Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
• Ability to independently manage patient assignments with 5-6 patients
• Familiarity with postpartum assessments, admissions, discharges, and patient education
• Experience with maternal pain management and coordination of postpartum care
