Certified Dietary Manager

Dietary DirectorAdvises the dining department on resident care and meal service mattersProvides supervision and assistance in dining rooms during meal serviceDevelops, schedules, and conducts in-service training classes, on the job training, and orientation classes for staffAssists with the planning of menus with regard to nutrition, regulatory compliance, color, variety, general resident population preferences, and wellness trendsHires, leads, directs, coaches, trains and develops the Food and Nutrition service teamParticipates in community-wide and department Performance Improvement Program teamsParticipates in and attends departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programsComplies with all policies and procedures of the community and the organizationAssists with the integration of all food and nutrition wellness innovationsAssure that all food procedures are followedSkilled nursing facility experience preferredMust have completed a CDM/CFPP or State-approved course in food servicesOne (1) year cook/ dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferredMust have completed a CDM or State-approved course in food services (non certified candidates with experience will be considered)Food services supervisory experience in the long term care setting is preferred
