DevOps Engineer - Boston, MA or NYC, NY (GC or Citizens) Contract Location: Boston, MA or NYC, NY Duration: 6+ months Role Overview: The DevOps Engineer will work on an active project leveraging AWS, Docker, and RHEL 7. The role involves automating infrastructure, deploying services, and ensuring reliability and scalability. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and OpenStack platforms. Build and manage Docker containers and orchestrate them using tools such as Kubernetes or similar. Develop automated deployment pipelines using current DevOps tools and methodologies. Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance. Document processes and maintain configuration management. Qualifications Experience with RHEL 7 and UNIX environments. Proficiency with Docker, container orchestration, and related technologies. Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, vRealize Automation). Experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop. PHP scripting, MySQL, and experience with Oracle DB on UNIX. Strong scripting skills in PERL, bash, or ksh.
