As a Scrub Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field. You will provide instrumentation as needed to the surgical team and participate in unit activities that assure high levels of quality related to patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Possessing expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, combining knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and tools
• Maintaining and checking all items for proper packaging, processing, and expiration dates
• Ensuring the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly
• Monitoring the sterile field and initiating corrective actions as needed
• Assisting in patient transports, room turnovers, and preparation
• Cleaning and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization
• Modeling professional behavior and maintaining currency in new technologies and procedures
• Need 1 year experience in setting
• Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
