Job Summary JOB TITLE : Instructional Coach (Opelika Middle School) QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience
Certified elementary or secondary education
Instructional Leadership Certification preferred but not required. REPORTS TO: Principal ANNUAL CALENDAR DAYS: 235 Days (12 months) PURPOSE: To be in a resource position to support teachers and the instructional process RESPONSIBILITES:
• Facilitates curriculum review, revision, development and implementation.
• Serves as a resource and provides instructional support for all teachers.
• Works with the principal and central office personnel to coordinate professional development activities.
• Assists with mentoring new personnel.
• Provides coaching and models teaching to facilitate effective instruction.
• Collaborates with feeder school(s) personnel to support effective transitions for students.
• Participates in district level curriculum committees.
• Plans, coordinates and supervises summer programs.
• Collects, analyzes and interprets student data in order to assist teachers with effective planning and differentiation of instruction based on student needs.
• Assists with student scheduling.
• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
