Sr. Java developer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Java developer for a Contract with a client in West Chester, PA. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support enterprise Java applications throughout the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high performance and reliable production support .

Rate Range: $64/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Sr. Java developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise Java applications using Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, and Oracle technologies.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement defect fixes to ensure application stability.
• Develop scalable solutions to mitigate risks, improve system performance, and minimize production impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams to gather requirements, resolve technical issues, and deliver business solutions.
• Maintain code quality through best practices, code reviews, testing, and continuous application enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in Java application development and enterprise software solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring, Hibernate, EJB, Web Services, and Oracle database technologies.
• Proven expertise in full SDLC delivery, production support, root cause analysis (RCA), defect resolution, and collaborating with global/offshore development teams.

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
