Summary About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama, just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees. Responsibilities Consults with Division chiefs and other using personnel to identify system problems, andcoordinates action to eliminate problems and to improve system effectiveness. Daily validation is performed on processed cycles to determine accuracy. Works daily with functional users and technical personnel on and off ANAD to establish and resolve operational problems and to ensure flow of data and procedures are the most efficient possible. Advises management and functional personnel on system requirements and limitations to systemsto assist users in defining problems and needs. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience which includes: Improving supply policies to reduce operational costs; analyzing inventory data to resolve procedural discrepancies; and preparing accurate entries in automated systems for official supply records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service. (GS-09) OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
