Seeking BE/BC Emergency Medicine physician for fantastic opportunity in gorgeous western Colorado, just SE of Grand Junction.

• The group currently consists of all board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians
• Physician shifts are 10 to 11 hours in length. Physicians work an average of shifts per month
• 3 Physician Shifts: Day 7a-6p, Night 8p-7a, Midshift 12noon 10p (Midshift: double coverage)
• State-acclaimed Trauma Level IV designation; 50 minute transport by ground, 15 minutes by air to Trauma II facility. Primarily farm and agricultural related trauma.
• Average of 40 patients a day, 14,000 patients annually
• Fantastic Hospital Based Ancillary Support Services
• Well established call arrangements with specialty clinics for consultations
• Compensation $260 - $280 hourly, depending on experience
• Hospitalists on site 24/7 on Med/Surg and in the ICU
• General Surgeons and Anesthesia (CRNAs) are on call 24/7
• Laboratory on site 24/7; turnaround approximately 1 1 hour
• Radiology support 24/7; top of the line radiology equipment
• Electronic Medical Record is on Meditech 6.08 PP34 with MModal electronic dictation.
• Quality Health Network (QHN) provides lab results, radiology reports, transcribed notes, and other data from surround medical hospitals and clinics.

Hospital:

• 49 licensed beds with 6 bed ICU, and 6 Labor & Delivery Recovery Rooms
• 4 operating rooms, 12 treatment rooms in the Emergency Department including 2 trauma bays, obstetric room, pediatric room and 1 behavioral health safe room
• Level 1 Nursery with C-Section suite on site
• GE 450 Wide Bore MRI, two 64-slice CTs, 3-D Tomosynthesis mammography,2D/3D prone breast biopsy, DXA bone densitometry, Cartesion Prime Digital PET/CT and nuclear medicine.
• Cardiac / Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Occupation and Physical Rehabilitation
