Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

This position requires a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice while directing and guiding patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel in the Telemetry Unit. The nurse will communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology. Quick and accurate response to changes in patient condition and response to treatment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Conduct assessments, implement therapeutic interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Guide and instruct other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient conditions.
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with ventilator management preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
