Sheppard Services is seeking an experienced Field Service Project Manager to plan, coordinate and execute industrial field-service projects from internal handoff through customer closeout.

This hands-on role owns project schedule, job readiness, field coordination, customer communication, cost and margin awareness, safety, documentation and closeout. The successful candidate will combine field-service knowledge with disciplined project management and strong coordination of technicians, vendors and customers.

• Develop project schedules, manpower plans and daily priorities; coordinate technicians, subcontractors, rentals, tools, materials and site access to ensure job readiness.

• Review scope, estimates, purchase orders and customer requirements before mobilization; identify gaps, execution risks and required clarifications.

• Lead pre-job planning and enforce company safety procedures, JSA/permit requirements and stop-work authority when necessary.

• Maintain accurate project status, customer commitments and completion dates; communicate schedule or site-readiness changes promptly.

• Monitor labor hours, materials, rentals, subcontract costs and other project expenses against estimates and budgets.

• Identify scope changes, cost exposure and margin risks before additional work is performed; coordinate required change orders or approvals.

• Ensure time entry, field tickets, photos, service reports, customer sign-offs and closeout documentation are complete and billing-ready.

• Support Sales and Quoting with field scope, labor, equipment, rental and execution assumptions for field-service opportunities.

• Provide field leadership and performance feedback; support training, cross-training and development of technicians and leads.

• Five or more years of experience in industrial field service, project management, rotating equipment, electrical/mechanical service or a related industrial environment.

• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute field work safely, including strong pre-job planning and risk controls.

• Experience managing field schedules, labor resources, subcontractors, rentals, materials and competing customer priorities.

• Working knowledge of job estimates, labor budgets, job-cost reports, change orders and service profitability.

• Strong customer communication, leadership, organization and problem-solving skills; proficiency with scheduling tools, Excel and basic ERP/time-entry/service-ticket systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, associate degree or related certifications preferred. Electric motor, pump, gearbox, rotating-equipment repair or industrial maintenance experience is preferred.
