About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated  Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive and patient-centered environment.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process while ensuring compliance with hospital standards and unit policies. This role is critical in supporting mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients.
• Asses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural and psychosocial factors.
• Documents steps of the nursing process.
• Utilizes proper medical terminology. Addresses problems and progress toward goals.
• Facilitates patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
• Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate.
• Supports unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities as evidenced by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports.
• Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Zero to six (0-6) months related experience.
• Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.

Education & Licensure:

• Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
