Licensed Practical Nurse – Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (Evergreen) Location: York, NE Hiring Agency: Correctional Services - Agency 46 Hiring Rate: $40,000/hour Job Description We want you to join our team! Immediate openings in York. Varying shifts available; inquire at the time of interview. Starting wage $40,000/hour plus $3.00/hour facility differential and $1.50 to $2.50 shift differential. Duties Perform patient care in a clinic or hospital setting within a correctional institution. Administer medications, transcribe and carry out doctor’s orders, assess patients using protocols, triage, and respond to emergencies. Assist in moving inmate patients. Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies and medications. Requirements / Qualifications A current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Nebraska (or authority under the Nurse Licensure Compact). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Will complete four to eight weeks of on‑the‑job training. Must submit to a background security check. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass a pre‑employment medical examination and a drug test. Complete the fully paid NDCS Pre‑service Training Program at the Staff Training Academy.
