Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data by processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close activities. Identify and escalate discrepancies to maintain compliance and contribute to efficient accounting operations.ResponsibilitiesMonthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities: Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting activities in accordance with established departmental and organizational operating indicators, deadlines, and quality standards. Ensure that all required tasks are completed accurately and on time to support the financial close process.Financial reporting and accounting coordination: Coordinate with local agencies and Finance departments to ensure that all necessary accounting transactions are properly recorded and accurately reflected in the financial statements reported through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).Agency support and issue resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for agencies regarding accounting and financial matters. Investigate and resolve ad-hoc inquiries, provide appropriate solutions, and escalate complex or unresolved issues to the relevant management level when necessary.Audit support and internal controls: Support internal, FMC, and external audit processes by ensuring that accounting procedures and controls are properly executed, documented, and maintained. Provide auditors with accurate and timely information and supporting documentation as requested.Balance sheet account reconciliations: Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations to identify discrepancies, outstanding items, and unusual balances. Follow up on open items and coordinate the necessary accounting adjustments to ensure accounts are accurate and that all outstanding balances have appropriate explanations and supporting documentation.Accounting entries and documentation: Prepare and/or review journal entries and other accounting transactions, ensuring they are accurate, properly supported, and documented in accordance with accounting policies, internal controls, and established procedures.Issue escalation and risk management: Identify accounting issues, process deviations, and potential risks, escalating them to management in a timely manner and providing relevant information and recommendations to support appropriate decision-making.Process optimization and continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes by evaluating existing procedures, implementing best practices, and developing new strategies to increase efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.Process documentation and manuals: Create, maintain, and regularly update process manuals and documentation for the areas under responsibility, ensuring that procedures accurately reflect current practices, controls, and organizational requirements.Local tax preparation and analysis: Prepare, review, analyze, and present local tax obligations and related information, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable local tax regulations and company requirements.QualificationsTechnical Accounting Degree and Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance (50% progress or above for candidates with technical degree). Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Accounting (80% progress for candidates without technical degree).At least 1 to 2 years of experience in similar positions in Shared Service Center (desirable). Intermediate English level (oral and written skills).
