Medical Emergency Educator (EMT/Paramedic)

Clinical Educator Overview Clinical educator with responsibilities in areas of emergency education, medical emergency, and emergency management. Supports these essential areas through education and trainer instruction, administrative functions, team and committee participation. About the Life Support Learning Center (LSLC) The LSLC offers BLS, ALS, and critical care courses to all clinical staff who require credentialing (MD, RN, Paramedic, RT, etc.). Desired Experience At least 2 years of strong ALS experience and a strong desire to embrace various instructional modalities At least 2 years of experience as a medic level provider A strong work ethic and adaptability Previous instructor experience is not required Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma. American Heart Association Instructor for ACLS, PALS, and/or BLS within two weeks of hire. Experience: 1–2 years’ experience required. Licensure/Certifications: EMT‑B required; EMT‑Paramedic, EMT‑Intermediate or Advanced EMT preferred. Preferred Qualifications Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience: 2 years experience as a Paramedic Licensure/Certifications: EMT‑P in the Commonwealth of Virginia. ACLS and PALS instructor certificates preferred. Physical Demands Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending, stooping, and traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull > 100 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Compensation The starting base rate for this role is $54,558.40 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
