Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,273-$2,372 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 10/12/2026 Facility/work setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patients per physician orders, including ventilatory support and medications as indicated Verify orders, document all respiratory care procedures accurately, and communicate patient status during handoffs and rounds Manage airway support: bag-valve-mask ventilation, assist with intubation, suctioning, and appropriate use of artificial airways Initiate, monitor, and titrate mechanical ventilation; interpret flow-volume and pressure-volume curves to guide therapy Perform arterial blood gas draws and support related pulmonary diagnostics; participate in patient care rounds and department in-services Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to infection control and PPE requirements Requirements Graduation from a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential per NBRC BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire; NRP certification obtained within 6 months of hire Minimum 1 year hospital-based respiratory care experience; pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostics experience preferred Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; ability to pass background check and drug screen; complete employee health requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Credentialing and onboarding assistance Ongoing assignment support throughout the contract Access to safety, compliance, and educational resources Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
