Nurse Practitioner | Family Practice Location: Wilmington, NC Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: NP - Family Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Wilmington, NC 28405 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Extra Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Mileage reimbursement up to 60 miles; Malpractice covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics (6 months+) Average Daily Volume: 40 patients/day Case Mix: Urgent Care FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: MAs: 1, Office Staff: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required Licenses: Licensed in NC DEA: NC DEA required Certifications: BLS, Other: DOT, PALS/ACLS is Preferred Fellowship: Required Experience: Minimum 12 months of experience required Other Qualifications: Must be local to Wilmington/Leland area; EMR proficiency in Epic required; must be able to work as sole provider Duties & Responsibilities Provide high-quality urgent care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up) as the sole provider in the center. Perform minor procedures including I&D, laceration repair, and ear irrigation. Utilize Epic EMR for all patient charting and clinical documentation. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate strong soft skills while working one-on-one with support staff and patients. Participate in mandatory EMR training and onboarding sessions held on Wednesdays prior to first solo shift.
