Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a full-time position with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The competent Registered Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care while developing the ability to cope with and manage clinical contingencies. Assesses patient needs, administers medications, and ensures effective treatment while documenting patient care and history.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses the increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact.
• Weekend requirement: 2 to 4 shifts per month (rotated among staff).
