Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States. Start date: 08/24/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay: $2,795–$2,950 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10 Days. This travel opportunity is in a hospital-level perioperative unit (8 beds) requiring strong OR skills, CNOR certification, and BSN education. The assignment demands active Massachusetts RN licensure, CNOR, BLS, and the Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) to be uploaded with the traveler profile. Massachusetts-based candidates are preferred; you must have a reliable vehicle. Meditech Expanse experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in the operating room, including patient positioning, anesthesia support, and surgical assistance as appropriate
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with instrument handling, and manage surgeon’s needs during procedures
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; respond promptly to intraoperative changes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, circulating nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety and efficient turnover
- Document perioperative care and relevant events in the medical record using the Meditech Expanse system
- Assist with room setup, equipment readiness, and specimen handling; participate in turnover and readiness for next case

Requirements
- Massachusetts RN license – active and in good standing (BSN required)
- CNOR certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of current OR/perioperative experience
- Massachussetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) must be uploaded with profile
- Unit requires CNOR and First Assist capabilities as applicable; Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Education: BSN
- Evidence of ability to work in an OR setting with an 8-bed unit
- Travel readiness: must have own vehicle for assignment logistics
- Profile should include current work history, a supervisor reference from within the past two years, and confirmation of interview availability
