About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: Certifications a plus Must-Have: - Orthopedic major joint experience - General surgery experience - Urology experience (open & cystoscopy) - Minor vascular surgical experience; major vascular experience a plus Description: The unit has 13 operating rooms. Patient ratios are 1:1. Staffing consists of RNs, surgical techs, support staff, and board runners. Equipment includes Stryker ortho systems, Stryker lap towers, two Div Xi robots, Mako navigation (Stryker), and OMNI navigation. The documentation system used is MEDITECH. Call shifts are required 4-5 times every 4 weeks. Weekend rotation is part of the schedule. There is no set schedule but it is reasonable. If operating rooms are shut down, floating to assist in other areas is required internally first, then as helping hands. Orthopedic experience is mandatory as this role involves all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye surgeries. Dress code consists of scrubs provided by the facility.
