About the Role:
Milwaukee Childcare Center of the A is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team in Milwaukee, WI! This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children by creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment. - Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Lead and supervise classroom activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's growth and classroom updates
- Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare center policies
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood development
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills
- Ability to pass a background check per Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children
