Endoscopy Technician

Experience: 1 year in Endo/GI Lab

License: MA-Certified, Surgical Tech, or Nursing Assistant certification required

Certifications: BLS, CBSPD

Must-Have: Previous charge experience

Ability to float required

On-call required with a 45-minute response time

Description: Candidates who have been separated from any other facility for at least 3 months are eligible for a travel contract. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must be flexible to work different start times. Unit operates with a mix of inpatient and outpatient services. Looking for advanced therapeutic trained Endoscopy Tech to work in a trauma setting. The department caters to a range of GI diseases for patients of all ages. The endoscopy department includes multiple admit/discharge and procedure rooms. Responsibilities include assisting with high-level disinfection of scopes and room turnover. Technicians assist physicians during both general and advanced therapeutic procedures. Candidates should have experience with various endoscopic procedures and equipment. Weekend shifts are required, every other weekend. Preferred experience includes USAP MAC sedation techniques. Candidates must provide references covering the last year of experience. Additional modules may be required for compliance before starting. Completion of orientation is necessary before beginning work.
