Pharmacy Technician Position in Flagstaff

Currently recruiting for a full-time Pharmacy Technician staff in Flagstaff. Starting Pay: $20.58 per hour, depending on qualifications. Schedule: Mon. Fri. - 9:30am - 6:30pm.

The Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting efficient and accurate pharmacy operations by assisting with prescription preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to compliance with all regulations and policies. Essential Job Functions:

• Mixes pharmaceutical preparation, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules, and types labels for bottles.
• Assists Pharmacist to prepare and dispense medication.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enters date in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to customer, computers, charges, and enters date in computer.
• Cleans equipment and sterilizes glassware according to prescribed methods.
• Interacts with other medical professionals to fulfill clinic stocking needs.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D). If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:

• A current License as a Pharmacy Technician in accordance with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
• 5 years' related experience or training preferred.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.
• Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver's license and must be in compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages.

Elk Ridge Community Health requires all AZ employees to have a Level One Fingerprint Clearance card. A.R.S. 36.425.03. New hires and transfers must submit their fingerprint clearance card or fingerprint receipt before their hire date or transfer date. Level One (1) Non-IVP Fingerprint Clearance card must be received within 30 days after the new employee hire date or transfer date.
