Looking for per diem (covering shifts as-needed) experienced Dental Hygienists for the Alexandria| Woodbridge - Virginia North area

Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range in complexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Apply fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from
• above and below the gum line.
• Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
• Record and review patient medical histories.
• Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Order and keep track of inventory as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education:  Associate or bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene
• License:  Active Virginia state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
• Certification  : Xray training certificate
• Certification : BLS/CPR certificate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
• Some locations require GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy operational experience
• Preferred Certification & Licensure: Anesthesia Certifications.
