Shelter Veterinarian

Are you passionate about improving access to veterinary care and preserving the human-animal bond? At one of the largest animal shelters on the East Coast, you'll do work that a private practice simply can't offer.

Your caseload will span the full range of shelter medicine: performing surgeries and wellness exams on shelter animals awaiting adoption, treating privately owned pets through our community care programs, handling cruelty and neglect cases on location, and providing care for pets in our foster network.

Location:

Georgetown, DE is the heart of Sussex County - a charming small town surrounded by the natural beauty of the Delmarva Peninsula. You'll be minutes from the Delaware beaches, with easy access to Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the broader Mid-Atlantic region.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited college or university and one year of professional veterinary medical experience.
• Possession of a current license to practice veterinary medicine in Delaware and/or Pennsylvania or ability to get one.
• Shelter experience or high volume experience preferred but not required willing to mentor the right candidate.
