Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology

Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology to join our community. This is a tenure-track position beginning August 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach a range of criminal justice and criminology courses.
• Hold weekly office hours and advise students.
• Actively participate on faculty committees.
• Engage in scholarly research and professional activities.
• Represent the department at admissions and other campus events.
• Contribute your professional expertise to the department, college, and community.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology.
• A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students from all backgrounds.
• Ability to engage students and adapt teaching methods to improve student learning.
• Preferred experience teaching in higher education.
