Phlebotomist III - Floater

Location: Elgin, IL

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:00am–8:00pm; every other Saturday 7:00am–2:00pm; hours vary

Why This Role Matters

As a Phlebotomist Floater, you play a critical role in delivering accurate, timely diagnostic information while creating a positive patient experience. Your expertise ensures quality specimen collection, helping providers make informed healthcare decisions.

What You'll Do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations

• Prepare and process specimens for transport and laboratory testing following established procedures

• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling of specimens in the patient’s presence

• Maintain required records, documentation, and compliance with safety and quality standards

• Travel to multiple sites, including patient service centers and in-office locations, based on business needs

• Provide exceptional customer service while fostering trust and confidence with patients

What We're Looking For

• A current, up-to-date resume

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and cover multiple locations with short notice

• Ability to meet compliance requirements
