Custodian

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three years related experience and/or training.
• Skills and experience with facility janitorial maintenance a plus.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:

None required.

ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

A custodian is responsible to perform general inspection, cleaning, and stocking of supplies in all common areas inside our manufacturing facilities. The associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to:

Trash removal

• Vacuuming
• Dusting
• Cleaning Windows
• Mopping
• Sanitizing high touch objects
• Wiping down walls
• Cleaning toilets/urinals
• Clean counters/vending equipment
• Cleaning microwaves
• Cleaning refrigerators
• Dusting air vents
• Cleaning sinks
• Clean water fountains
• Replenish paper consumable goods
• Empty sanitary napkin receptacles
• Clean bathroom partitions
• Spill/overflow clean-up response

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Ability to push/lift 50 pounds • Ability to climb ladders • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals including bleach and solvents as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Read, write, speak and comprehend English, understand verbal or written instructions, provide verbal or written information to others, work continuous shift if requested, work scheduled or unscheduled overtime if requested, maintain a good attendance and punctuality record, follow all safety rules.
