MorningStar Recruitment is seeking a Senior Lead Value Stream /Continuous Improvement professional to spearhead Value Stream Processes for our client.

Composite experience would be great!

Location is North of Decatur, Texas

Maybe a Manufacturing Manager ready to take that next step? Or an Engineer who is interested in a VSL position?

• Green Belt or Black Belt = Acceptable
• Someone who is very process/metric/data driven
• Comfortable building systems from scratch
• Must be from manufacturing—any industry
• Will consider no degree with strong CI experience
• Technical degree is preferred
• Someone who is not intimidated by “a very big role” “lots involved in the role”
• Great at interdepartmental collaboration
• Has experience in change management—especially with teams used to doing things a certain way
• Can come from a Process Engineer / Project Manager, etc. background
• Needs to be comfortable “making metrics shift now”

• · This Value Stream Role will reflect on problems, solutions and challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement. The Value Stream Senior Lead role leads the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, which include but are not limited to supply chain, production control, manufacturing priorities and coordination between all shifts in the value stream. This person will also have some financial acumen.

• · The Value Stream Team Leader will:

• · Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements.

• · Encourage team to stop and fix problems to get quality right the first time. Work with the Value Stream Manager to develop the future state value stream map and manage the plans to achieve it.

• · Experience with Cross Functional Teams is a must.
