Fire Alarm Inspector

Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and functional tests of fire sprinkler systems, including control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances and auxiliary equipment. Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure systems are operational. Accurately complete inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies and recommendations in compliance with NFPA standards and local regulations. Provide customers with clear explanations of inspection results and corrective actions needed. Maintain a strong understanding of NFPA codes, manufacturer requirements and company procedures. Collaborate with service teams to address and resolve system issues identified during inspections. Ensure tools, equipment and materials are maintained and properly stored. Assist in maintaining customer satisfaction by providing professional and courteous service. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures and practices. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years experience inspecting, maintaining or installing fire sprinkler systems. Valid Fire Alarm license in Massachusetts and Rhode Island preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines. Must be flexible with working hours and willing to be part of an on‑call rotation. Report to assigned job site location on time, as directed. Maintain and properly store tools, materials and equipment.
